September in the Toddler room!
This month we have accessed lots of exciting activities.
The children showed an interest in ice. We watched as it would melt away over time. We used lots of language to describe the texture which auntie extended, introducing us to new vocabulary. We then discovered that there were animals trapped inside! We used the hammers to free them.
We then explored coloured ice, experimenting with the different colours when they melted and mixed together.

We continued our interest in colour mixing by exploring the paint. We used our hands to experiment with the colours, mixing them together and making new ones. We painted the inside and outside of various boxes, introducing prepositions.

We followed a recipe book to make play dough. We showed good listening and attention skills when following directions given to use by Auntie. We mixed the dough together and watched as it changed texture.

We explored the stone pit. We transferred the stones to different containers, strengthening our muscles. When we dropped the stones we discovered that they made a loud noise. We used number language to count how many we had and stacked them, making tall towers.
