Preparing your child for school.

Welcome to the Pre-School room! In this room, we provide a flexible routine following each child’s interests with a balance of adult-led activities as children prepare for school. We spend time working on skills that your child will continue to use and develop throughout life, including self-confidence, independence and the desire to have a go at anything!
We work on ensuring our children are “school ready”. This includes helping children develop the confidence and communication skills they need to thrive when they do begin “Big School”! We also look at letters, sounds and numbers through fun, play-based activities. We have a range of home packs available, allowing you to support your child at home too.
We love to get creative (and sometimes messy!) both indoors and out so please ensure your child brings spare clothes! We explore our wonderful outdoor area all year round so if you have a pair of wellies to keep at nursery that would be great as who doesn’t love to dig in mud and sand! Please ensure all personal belongings are labelled as many children have the same clothes/coats etc.
