January’s fun!
This month we have been learning about the importance of brushing our teeth!
We followed simple instructions, listening to auntie tell us the correct way to brush our teeth to make sure they stay nice and healthy. We counted how many teeth we could see and talked about how when we get older we get grown up teeth! We coloured our “teeth” with marker pen and pretended they were “bad teeth” we brushed the teeth all clean with our tooth brush and tooth paste.
We also enjoyed creating our very own winter collages using different shades of blue, silver and white. We talked about the importance of wearing our coats, hats, scarves and gloved in the winter in order to keep us nice and warm. We arranged the glitter, tissue and stickers to make our lovely pictures.
We came across a box in our room, we quickly climbed inside and pretended it was a boat, a house, a car, a bus and a castle. Our imagination was endless, we even added teddies to “keep them safe from the rain”.
We explored some blue playdough, pushing the cutter onto the dough to make different prints. We then went outside to explore and found that the water had “frozen”. We collected it up into a container and brought it inside to explore. We watched as the ice melted in the warm temperature. We talked about the different shapes too.
