Classroom Fun!
April in the Classroom has seen us taking on challenges, problem-solving and learning new skills to help us develop further. We have been enjoying lots of fun activities to help us refine our fine motor skills and develop our mark making and pre-writing skills. Our older children have enjoyed scavenger hunts in the garden, sorting clothes in the home corner, and solving number problems to help challenge them further and encourage their problem-solving skills.
We have welcomed some new children into the Classroom and our Pre-Schoolers have been very helpful in helping them transition into their new room. Our Pre-Schoolers have also been excited to find out which big school they have been going to and we have been easing them into their big transition through reading stories about going to school, looking at pictures of their new schools on the computer, and putting school uniform into the home corner.
The weather has been lovely and we have been spending more time outdoors, exploring the nature garden, engaging in water play to cool us down, and the boys and girls have been very excited to find lots of mini beasts who are starting to come out of hiding! We have also been noticing lots of changes in our garden through sensory walks – we have heard lots of birds chirping, we have looked at different insects very closely under magnifying glasses and pots, and we have smelled all the beautiful flowers.
