October in the Toddler room
This month we have been in the nature area and made pictures with stones, we had lots of fun making faces and lining them up to count. We talked about how the leaves had changed colour as it is now Autumn.
We have been showing our caring sides and revisited personal experiences, looking after the babies. We have been reading and singing to them, making them dinner and wrapping them up in blankets to rock them to sleep.
October included our pink week where we dressed in pink, even the Aunties! We helped to make pink playdough and baked pink cakes, following the recipe adding the ingredients and mixing them together. We played in pink rice hiding our hands and enjoying the sensory side of touching it and listening to it. We explored red and white paint with our hands and fingers to create pink!
