This month in the Toddler room we have been very busy. In memory of Queen Elizabeth ll we made our own marmalade sandwiches and related it to Paddington bear, we used a knife to spread the marmalade and cut the bread. We also had a nice cup of tea with our sandwiches as requested by, by one of the children. We have enjoyed exploring the mud area where we tipped emptied and mixed the mud, we used sticks to make marks with the mud and found a birds nest in the tree. We could even see the bird peeking over. Also we made fairy cakes where we used our book to follow the recipe, we mixed all the ingredients and listened for the timer. This sparked such an interest in birthdays. We then made playdough cakes with candles and had a birthday party in the home corner.
