New rooms to explore!
September in the classroom has seen some big changes – some of our children have come back from the summer to find that their new classroom looked very different, and the toddler room converted into a messy room and water area. The children have been very excited to explore their new areas and have adapted well to their new routine!
Our new routine has seen us spending more time getting messy, exploring new textures and trying new things like pirate treasure hunting in the mud kitchen, potion making in the nature area, mixing sand and water during imaginative play, making gloopy cakes and lots of painting and mixed media! Every child has tried something new and we are so excited to have discovered some interests. Our main interests this month have been cafe role-plays, pirates, hairdressers, potions and zoos!
As the season has changed from Summer to Autumn we have noticed lots of changes in the weather, such as more rainy days and it being a lot colder. This hasn’t deterred us though! We have spent lots of time outdoors den building, collecting rain to make potions, splashing in puddles in our wellies, and we have been collecting natural materials to make pictures with in the messy room.
