Classroom Fun!

February in the Classroom has seen us welcoming some warmer weather. We have been enjoying the sunny days in the garden and have been engaging in lots of imaginative role play outside based around our children’s developing interests.

This month we have celebrated Valentine’s Day, with lots of Valentine’s and love-themed activities such as making biscuits for our loved ones, smashing ice shaped like hearts, and creating our own beautiful cards for friends and family.

The children have been working very hard on their Phonics every day at register time, and we have been focusing on letters this month – matching them and mark making; so many boys and girls are starting to form recognisable letters! As well as this, we have been reading the story Superworm! Children have shown an interest in books, reading the story to each other, acting it out using the props from the story of the month box, and engaging in some fun Superworm activities and getting messy! February has been a lovely, interactive, engaging messy month!
