March in the Classroom!

March in the Classroom has been a busy one, with the children enjoying lots of fun outdoor activities and enjoying the changing weather – every morning we have been discussing the weather types, the temperature and the seasons; the children are excited that we are in Spring at last and have been enjoying picking flowers and looking out for some mini beasts. Everyone has enjoyed spending time outdoors and this month we have been exploring all areas of our garden, including potion making in the mud kitchen, digging in the sand pit, and engaging in imaginative role-play in the nature garden! The weather has been exciting to watch change as well – we have been splashing in puddles in the morning, and running around in the sunshine in the afternoon. We can’t wait for more lovely weather.

March has also seen us exploring different textures and mixing materials in messy play! The children have been trying new things and exploring new interests such as gloop, building obstacle courses, and constructing models. They have also been building friendships and helping each other in need.

March also saw us celebrating Easter. The children had lots of fun looking for eggs in the garden, making Easter crafts and cards, playing with chocolate gloop, and taking part in egg and spoons races! We also had a great stay and play and engaged in lots of enjoyable activities that we got to share with our parents!

April will see us exploring our feelings and learning to regulate emotions; we are also excited to explore Spring more, learn about planting and growing, and see if we can find any more mini beasts
