February in the Toddler room!
This month we have been in the nature area going on a bear hunt we used the garden to go through the grass, through the mud, the seats to go through the forest. We ended up in the cave with the bear. We had fun retelling the story and hiding the bear around the garden and nature area.
As it’s been Valentine’s Day we created some heart pictures using toilet roll tubes to make the heart shape and stick on hearts. We had pink and red playdough with hearts as well. We talked about our families and who we loved.
We have been getting messy with oats and chocolate powder, Auntie also made us some chocolate mud for the dinosaurs to squelch in.
While making our cakes this time we added icing and sprinkles to the top, we liked watching the icing fall and make different shapes on top of the cakes. We used our recall skills and remembered all the ingredients we needed and that we weren’t to touch the eggs. Some of us went to see the oven and see the cakes when they had finished baking, we stayed with Auntie on the other side of the room.
