Baby room fun!
We have been exploring different sounds this month in the baby room!
We put animals in our cereal tray and listened to the “crunch crunch” under the animals feet, we used our gross and fine motor skills to pick up small pieces of cereal and put them in a tub! We had so much fun shaking them and making our very own musical instruments.

We have also been showing interest in painting and making marks so we combined sounds and mark making by painting on tinfoil. The foil made lots of crackly noises when the paintbrushes glided along it. It also gave us the opportunity to get very messy!

We have been doing lots of water play in the garden. We used a variety of different sized tubs and practiced our filling and emptying. Using pincer grasp we picked some flowers and leaves to add to the water to create “flower soup”, we used spoons to scoop it up and pour it into bowls, we handed the bowls to auntie to “try”.

Lastly we have been developing our self care by bathing the babies. We used soapy water and cloths to wash their faces and hands. We pointed to the babies facial features and used single words to describe them “eye” , “mouth”.
