Baby room fun!
We have been doing lots of exciting things this month!
We have been climbing on the grass mounds in the garden, we have found different ways to get to the top like crawling and walking! This has helped us develop our balance and movement skills, it also encouraged us to take risks but always had Auntie there for support if needed.
We have shown lots of interest in mark making this month and have enjoyed finding different ways to make marks. We used various pencils and paint sticks to make colourful marks on our page. We even used frozen paint, this allowed us to make marks and feel the different textures when holding the ice.
We enjoyed spending time outside playing with the sea animals in the water, we used the sharks and whales tail to make big splashes in the water. Auntie added some ice to our tray, we tried to break the ice using the sharks tail. We were very excited when the ice began to melt as we found some little fish hiding in them.
Lastly we have been developing our counting! Using coloured bricks and blocks we made towers and with Aunties help we would count “1,2,3,4” we then broke our towers apart and started again. We have also been using counting in our singing, we have sang songs such as 5 little ducks and 5 cheeky monkeys. Auntie held 5 fingers up each time and then put one down when there was one less, this helped us visualise how many we had.
