April in the Toddler room!

This month we have shown lots of interest in activities that strengthen our fine and gross motor skills.
We took part in lots of creative mark making activities, exploring textures such as paint, ice, cotton wool and more. We made a dabbing motion using the cotton wool to create our Easter eggs. We used lots of language to talk about what Easter means to us and how we may celebrate it.

We took part in our own egg and spoons races, balancing and walking slowly to make sure they didn’t fall off.

Outside we showed lots of interest in den building. Using the materials available to create different sized enclosed spaces, working together as a team sharing ideas.

We also explored the new peanut balls, balancing and strengthening our muscles by jumping, rolling and bouncing on them.

Lastly we showed an interest in super hero’s, Auntie set up a tray with blocks and books for us to explore. We created small enclosed spaces, placing our hero’s inside and looked at the books together.
