Classroom fun!
We have had a very busy and exciting month in the classroom; for some of our Pre-Schoolers this was their last month with us and we had some lovely last moments together to say goodbye.
At the start of the month, all of the children took part in their Olympics-themed sports day with their parents and grandparents there to cheer them on and join in the fun! The weeks leading up to sports day we had been learning all about the Olympics and practising our different events. Everybody did a great job and got to take a medal home with them.

Following Sports day, we have been enjoying more exciting theme days, which saw the children dress up to raise money for our end of year party. Thanks to the generous people who sent donations in, we were able to have a great party together!
Children had a brilliant time at the party, enjoying watching the magic tricks, dancing, meeting Stitch and enjoying a party tea together!

We have also been planning around children’s interests this month and enjoying spending more time outside. We have had lots of fun exploring dinosaur trays, looking for fossils, reenacting our favourite nursery rhymes, painting, and building obstacle courses. There has been so much learning through play and it has been very beneficial for the children following their lead and interests to aid their learning!

As we go into August and say goodbye to even more of our Pre-School friends we wish them luck on their new big school journeys and will miss them very much!
