Toddler Room Fun!

This month we started off by opening the pumpkins from Halloween to see the inside of it, we smelt it and emptied the inside, we tried to count the seeds but we lost count as there was so many.

We made edible sparklers, we dipped breadsticks in melted chocolate and added sprinkles, we talked about fireworks, the sounds they make and the colours. We made toilet roll tube fireworks adding paper to the bottom to create a colour and pattern. We chalked fireworks and used glue and glitter to re create what we had seen on bonfire night. The playdough was also sparkly and we tried to make our own fireworks with it

We have been re creating making our own cakes and added recipes and mixing bowls to the home corner, we then extended this to playing with flour and mixing it up in the messy area we used spoons to add it to the cake cases.

We have been making lots of marks both inside and in the garden including chalking, painting with water and using shape cutters to stamp with.

We painted the top of the water tray, using lots of gross motor skills, including lines both up, down, across and circles. We have been exploring the frost outside and found some ice which we took inside to show everyone and watched it melt.
