May fun in the Toddler Room!

This month we had lots of fun getting ready for our Coronation party for King Charles lll, we made crowns and decorated bookmarks. We made cakes and decorated them for everyone at the party. We enjoyed baking and we are remembering the recipe and what happens next. We like adding the icing to the top.
This month has also seen us developing strong friendships and we have started to develop our sharing skills.
We have enjoyed painting this month, we have painted the fence with water and enjoyed using different resources to make marks. We have been using the paint markers on the Easel as a group on a large scale and on a small individual scale. We have really enjoyed painting the cars, we used paint brushes to cover the cars in paint and looked at the shape it left. The next day Auntie added some bubbly water so we could wash the cars and make them all clean! We enjoyed the car wash and splashing in the water.
We have been exploring the large water tray and the walk in sand pit this month, especially with the weather being better and some of us going on holiday. In the sand we pretended we were at the beach and were digging for shells. In the water we have been pouring and emptying and trying to push the ping pong balls down.
Some of us have been struggling with brushing our teeth at home so we have explored brushing the doll’s teeth with toothpaste and brushed dirty marks of teeth with a toothbrush. We enjoyed drawing more marks to brush off.
