September fun!
September has been a wonderful month of exploring, creating and learning through play. The children have followed their interests and enjoyed a range of hands-on experiences.
They explored painting animals, rescued animals from the ice, and created a phonics “Silly Soup” game in the mud kitchen. In our nature area, they experimented with painting with mud on cling film, developing their creativity and curiosity.
The children also enjoyed recreating our morning register and playing “What’s in the Bag?”, supporting communication, vocabulary, listening, memory and turn-taking.
Through these experiences, the children have been developing their confidence, independence, problem-solving, imagination and social skills while having lots of fun learning together.
The children also showed a keen interest in measuring and shapes, developing their early mathematical skills. They explored our big garden through physical activities, building strength, coordination and confidence. They enjoyed making marks in different textures, helping to strengthen their muscles and develop hand-eye coordination. The children created spiders using playdough, supporting fine motor development, and worked together to create their own fairy garden, encouraging imagination, creativity and teamwork.
