December in the Baby room!

This month we’ve explored Christmas! We opened our advent calendar daily to reveal lots of interesting books that we listened to auntie read. We wore Santa hats, looked at Christmas books and made lots of Christmas crafts with paints, felt tips and glitter but shhh it’s a surprise!!

We showed an interest in making sounds so auntie provided us with lots of containers and appropriate loose parts to make our very own sensory bottles that we could shake.

Our older babies took regular visits to the toddler room to explore lots of activities, getting us comfortable and ready for our next adventure into our new room.

Some of our younger babies have taken an interest in feeding themselves independently, auntie continued to provide us with our own spoons so we could practice feeding ourselves, gaining good control.

Lastly, we explored baskets full of everyday things, auntie labelled the objects extending our vocabulary and pausing allowing us time to process and repeat it back.
